After  all possibilities were exhausted, a smoldering wood chisel handle         that found its way into the bottom of the chimney was the cause of        the smoke.  The wood stove had not been burned for over a day but        when the cold air settled into the chimney it forced the smoke of the    acrylic handle in through the stove causing the condition. Negative      pressure was set up and units cleared about an hour later.
